Jayna Whitt serves as Concierge Counsel for select private clients with complex issues.  She is uniquely qualified to serve such clients.  Jayna's primary background is in IP licensing and patent litigation, including over 15 years of in-house experience at Apple Inc.  But Jayna also has personally navigated a divorce litigation that lasted over 8 years and ended in victory.  There are a number of other private matters she has managed that do not fall into any ordinary category.

Jayna served for over a decade at Apple as the Director of Patent Litigation and the Director of IP Transactions.  She managed the "thermonuclear" mobile wars with unmatched innovation and creativity in her approach and results. 

 

She managed one of the fastest growing and largest corporate patent litigation dockets and budgets but also negotiated hundreds of patent licenses and settlements, making her uniquely equipped to evaluate, advise, negotiate, and mediate complex disputes for all sizes and types of clients.

Having served as Apple's corporate designee to testify in a number of patent litigations,  Jayna is highly qualified as an expert consultant and witness.

Jayna has a unique passion for equity.  She has always been a proponent of diversity efforts - from her involvement in the Women in Engineering Program at the University of Maryland to serving as one of just a few attorneys at Apple on the Legal department's first Diversity Committee. 

 

In 2019, Jayna was selected as the Asian Law Alliance's Business Impact Honoree.
